In Memory of Lynne B. Jacoby
September 9, 1964 - October 6, 2013
Lynne Jacoby was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer of the pancreas on April 11, 2012. Thanks to what she calls “a cascade of events that support medical innovation,” she defied her initial prognosis of just a few weeks' survival and participated in a clinical trial of a new treatment at Scottsdale Healthcare Research Institute in partnership with the Translational Genomics Research Institute in Phoenix. Throughout her battle, Lynne continued to work and "pay back" to society, and lived to celebrate her 49th birthday almost a year and a half after her diagnosis, before taking a final turn for the worse. She is survived by her wife Jennifer Jacoby.
